Associate or Full Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders

The Pennsylvania State University, College of Health and Human Development, seeks an outstanding scholar for an associate or full professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. In addition to teaching and service, the successful candidateís research responsibilities will involve multidisciplinary collaborative research in the area of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), contributions to cognitive neuroscience to AAC, and/or language development and usage in children with severe communication disabilities. Assistant Professor of Communications Sciences and Disorders

RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish/continue a line of research in specialty area(s) in fluency, voice, adult language, neurogenics, speech or voice science or AAC. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in area of specialty; supervise undergraduate and graduate (M.S./Ph.D.) research; service to the Department, College, and University; and contribute to the clinical aspects of the program. Applicants will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from the multiple Centers, Consortia, and Labs at the University Park campus and the Hershey Medical College, and make use of the new fMRI facility to be located across from the CSD department (Siemens 3 Tesla unit) and completed by July 08.
